Discover the splendour & majesty of the Great Smokey & Blue Ridge
Mountains, which form part of the oldest mountain range in the world,
and the older still French Broad river that winds it’s way for 210
miles through the mountains & into Tennessee. Or explore the hundreds
of cascading waterfalls that transverse this beautiful and spectacular
landscape. Then there’s the Pisgah National Forest where once Daniel
Boone roamed, and let’s not forget the 1,500 foot deep Linville
river gorge.
If you are looking for something a little more energetic
then You don’t need to look hard to find opportunities for outdoor
adventure; with white water rafting, canoeing, Trout fishing, hiking,
cycling, horseback riding, climbing, golfing and skiing to mention just
a few activities. Or if you are brave enough, try Sliding Rock with its
60-foot ride down Looking Glass Creek into an icy pool.
Alternatively why not sample the many quaint shops,
restaurants, arts and crafts and coffee shops that places like Historic
Hendersonville, Brevard (home of the White Squirrel) and the vibrant city
of Asheville have to offer.
Or visit places of interest like the 250 rooms Biltmore House, rodeo at
the Agg Centre, the Highland games at Grandfather Mountain or see the
Cherokee Indian Reservation.
